A love for health, and an idea for a startup

Katarina Slodičáková finds fulfillment in helping people transform their lives for the better. As Marketing Manager for Fitliner, a premiere health and wellness company, she enables people to pursue their fitness goals without necessarily going to the gym.

Many people want to lead active lives but unfortunately don’t always have time to travel to a fitness center, Katarína said. I knew that if someone really wants to change their lifestyles and improve their long-term health, ideally they should work with professional trainers to learn effective methods of exercise and motivation.

Katarina came up with an idea to connect people with personal trainers via webcam so they could fit in time for exercise, whether at home or in the office. She needed a way to connect clientele with professional trainers in online fitness sessions tailored to their needs. She was looking for a complete solution with interface integration, streamlined sales and payments processing and a simplified log-on process for users on the go. Above all, she wanted a solution that could represent the inventive Fitliner brand.

 

A turn-key solution for customer convenience

ClickMeeting’s API allows for a fully integrated solution that enabled Katarina’s customers to sign up directly on the Fitliner home page for particular training sessions with coaches in webinar meeting rooms, or in this case, virtual fitness centers. The ClickMeetings’ settings ensured that the layout, interface and entire webinar experience only reflected the Fitliner brand with no reference to the external webinar functionalities.

ClickMeeting delivered a solution with a ‘made-in-house’ feel. All aspects of the videoconferencing experience were tailored to our needs and the Fitliner brand.

A simplified user experience included a convenient payment system. Though Fitliner used an external payment system, using ClickMeeting’s API and token access capability, users could purchase training sessions with the click of a button.

Flexibility on the go

The key to Fitliner’s business model is its flexibility. The company had to make sure its customers could receive their training sessions anywhere, anytime and without any obstacles.

To accommodate clients and coaches looking for a convenient way to connect, a single sign on option was used. Fitliner customers who are already logged into their accounts, don’t have to also log in to a webinar room. This was achieved using the API’s autologin functionality, which gives all users a hassle-free way to meet via both stationary and mobile devices.

Success in innovation and wellbeing

The response to the innovative business model has been incredible, with clients signing up for the one-on-one sessions from all over the world, Katarina says.

People prefer eating good food to dieting and boring exercise routines, Katarina said. They want to have fun and Fitliner gives them the opportunity to improve their lives through engaging, dynamic exercise.

She said the collaboration between Fitliner and ClickMeeting enabled her company to expand its business. The diverse list of clientele has included managers, mothers on maternity leave, employees with sedentary jobs and senior citizens.

Katarina said her greatest joy comes from seeing others happy. As she and the other coaches see their clients’ enthusiasm for the improvements in their physical and mental wellbeing, she can’t help being joyful.
