As David is an expert in visual collaboration, he shared with us his experience and useful tips on how to create and deliver an exciting and impactful webinar. There are many things you can do to get your audience involved. Ask them a question or conduct a poll. You can also test them or start a discussion. Alternatively, you can do a critique. Read this post to learn more about all of these methods.
It depends on the presentation. Sometimes the picture presentation is better, because it illustrates your idea better and your audience is not focused on reading it. However, be careful as without enough bullet points to keep you focused you might ramble. Read this post to learn some good practices regarding your webinar slides.
After your events is over, take time to analyze the statistics. Check what percentage of attendees stayed with you until the end – if you managed to keep over 80% of them, you have done a good job. Also, see how many attendees participated in polls and make sure to go through feedback left by them at the end of your event.
The best ways to do it is to pick a simple, self-served webinar tool. If it’s intuitive, learning its usage will only take your presenter a moment. Also, have someone who feels comfortable with the software to take care of it and moderate the chat, while the presenter focuses on presenting.
Absolutely! Having two presenters introduces different dynamics into your webinar. Either they can split the presentation time half-half, and do two solo presentations, or they may have a panel discussion. The latter is harder and requires your presenters to have a certain type of a relationship with each other. But in return it will be more interesting for the audience.
If 50% of registrant are showing up live – that’s amazing. You should deal with the fact that lots of people only register to receive the recording. To encourage bigger attendance you can prepare giveaways, such as promo codes during the live event or delay sending the recording to the attendees. Always make sure to point out what will they miss if they will not attend.
Q&A is an important part of any webinar, as it shows that the audience truly listens and is interested in the presentation. So, this part shouldn’t be ignored. Those that can’t or don’t feel like asking a question on Q&A can always leave the event and contact the host with their question via email or social media later.
You need to connect to them. Bring out the relatable stories – if you are telling things your audience have experienced, it builds a bond with them. For example, you can bring out the stories of handling the webinar while being too nervous, and speaking too fast. Everybody can relate to that.
Well, webinars are on the rise – 35% more online events were hosted in 2016 compared to 2015 on ClickMeeting alone! The registrants to attendee conversion is 49%, and the best days to present the webinar are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
